I’m big on self acceptance. It doesn’t matter what other people think or see… it’s what you feel inside. Part of my job is not only to take photos of you that you will love but to show you what I see. Every woman that walks through my doors is beautiful in her own way. She is a mother, a lover, a wife, a friend… she is kind, compassionate, strong, sweet, soft, vulnerable, funny, giggly, teary and sometimes even sad. We can care for people like no one can, we can bare our souls and we are soft and lovely; so lets just start with that alone. The qualities that makes a woman a woman are vast and wonderful.

Just BEING a woman is a beautiful thing. I can look into your eyes and see what makes you beautiful and I guarantee that when I’m finished with you – you will see it too.

Once you are able to put “beauty” into perspective you will begin to understand that it’s not about being perfect. It’s about being a woman.

I am so honored to have girls coming to visit me from all over the Lower Mainland. I think word has gotten out that our studio TOTALLY ROCKS! It is, of course, the only one of it’s kind in all of the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland, perhaps all of B.C and I hear over and over again that the entire experience from start to finish is amazing. I just had a girl that was in town from Slave Lake and another from Whitehorse too.. so that is very exciting that someone would make a visit to my studio a highlight of their trip! We are also in a great little area of historical downtown Chilliwack that has shopping, eateries, shoes, lingerie, books, home decor all within walking distance of the studio as well as the newly renovated Coast Hotel, so it is a really fun area to visit for a weekend away! Anyway, a post isn’t a post without an image. The lovely Miss T from Langley, BC.

I had the opportunity to photograph the lovely Mrs. S. and she gave me some great feedback after her session…

“After seeing my girlfriends photos and how beautiful they were I knew I had to do it! I had heard how amazing Kim was and how much fun the entire experience was so I wanted to experience it for myself and my anniversary was coming up so I just did it! The experience was so empowering and it was a fun, relaxing atmosphere!”

“When I first saw my photographs I couldn’t believe it was me! I looked sexy and I was so proud!”

“This is an experience that all women must do at least once! It sure feels good to dress up and have some fun in a totally safe environment! My husband was thrilled with the photos! He didn’t know about them until I emailed him the “sneak peek”. After that he couldn’t wait to get to the viewing.”

INSPIRED MENTORING & COACHING in business, art & life.

Before I became a Photographer I wanted to be a counsellor . I’ve always had the innate desire to help people… teach them the life lessons that I learned along the way and inspire others to live better and it’s funny how the things that you feel you need to do in your lifetime kind of just happen somehow.

With the encouragement and support of some amazing female artists throughout Canada & the US, I became motivated to move forward with my idea of mentoring other photographers. It’s really been an incredible journey. I’ve met so many amazing people by putting myself out there and I feel so blessed to be once again doing what I love..

What is your desire in life? What inspires you? I think we should all be asking ourselves this question throughout our lives… you only have one life to live… and it should be lived with the heart…

VEGAS BABY {Kim Mallory Fraser Valley Photographer}

I just got back from a Photography Convention in Vegas. It was packed full of awesomeness. I met some amazing people and attended the Industry Trade Show where I picked out some amazing new albums that I’ll be bringing into the studio! (hot pink leather, studded swartzie crystal studded covers and fine art. SO amazing!!

While I was there I went into the desert with some of my photographer friends and we shot a couple of models just for fun. It’s always cool shooting in a new environment and the desert was full of wonderful textures and colours. I know this is something we can pull off here in a field in BC too! Loved the ideas and concepts for the outfits! Amazing!
